Stan's Random Newsletter No. 3
Welcome to Random Newsletter No 3. I promised once-a-week delivery and have failed. I am bad and feel bad. I’m also going to blame the weather, it’s a handy scapegoat in these parts lately. But I will try to stick to once-a-week in the future, I double pinkie swear!
Let's get the randomness rolling…

On Facebook (Charlie Warzel, Galaxy Brain):
Facebook’s transparency reports are a form of corporate deflection—a means of diverting focus from the hyperpartisan pages and posts about vaccine disinformation. But in these reports, the company is also telling us something important about itself: that it is filled with mindless, recycled spam. What might the Facebook conversation look like if it more readily acknowledged Facebook for what it is: a vast algorithmic wasteland? Infinite channels, but nothing on.
That's a wrap!
Please let me know what random things you would like to see. More random links? Random jokes? Drawings I have done as a smart aleck kid? As a smart aleck adult? A comic series? An exciting serialized story? Shopping lists? So many possibilities!
Until next time, keep it cool, but not new ice age cool,
Stan
Fun set of randomness, thank you!
